Minus the Pudding Presents: How to Meet Girls!

The latest edition of my XBLIG column “Minus the Pudding: The Best of Xbox Live Indie Games” has just been published on GameCola! In this one, we talk about:

  • Math Cruncher (you crunch math),
  • Lootfest (surprisingly, you DON’T pick up loot),
  • Tourist Trap (you try to escape a haunted museum), and
  • Virtual Attraction (which is actually just a book).

We also give unsolicited (but definitely, definitely warranted) advice for gamers on how to meet girls. You won’t want to miss it! Check it out here.

  1. Wasn’t it Einstein who said insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results? If you’re a loser around women now, unless you learn something new, you’re just gonna be a loser around the next 50 women you talk to. While some of these dating programs are dodgy (saw one called ‘how to get yourself girls’ a while back), I can say that virtual atraction has some decent advice, much like the book “the game”. Some might call it manipulative, but it definite works.

    1. I don’t know if that’s necessarily true, though. Maybe I’ve just been incredibly lucky, but whenever I’ve talked with a girl, and I was interested in connecting with her romantically—and we were at all compatible—I didn’t need to rely on psychological tricks to develop a rapport with her. Maybe the next game should be “How to Stop Talking to the Wrong Girls, You Dummies.”
